DECLARATION LETTER

I am stating strongly motivated to join this program of students camp in Malaysia entitled “The Support to Quality Improvement of The Islamic Higher Education Project / 4 in 1 IsDB Project”. Firstly, I would like to say, there is no impossible in the world as we are in striving hard and praying diligently. I would like to show and prove my qualified abilities in joining this great program as an International Muslim Student Representative from IAIN Walisongo Semarang. I must aware that all of my limitations; was born as a villager and was born from a poor family must not restrict my dreams to go to overseas. I am Tomy Widiyanto. I was born in Kendal, November 7th 1993. I am the first child of one brother. He studies at SMPN 2 Brangsong as an 8th student. We live in simplicity with our parents who are both of them work as employees at PT. Kayu Lapis Indonesia, Kaliwungu, Kendal. Their salary is only enough to pay my little brother’s school fee and  can not pay fully of mine. Therefore, I realize that I am still in difficulty case to buy some books as reference books for my better study. That is why I must study and work hard to fulfil my needs.
I am totally interested in joining the program. By joining it, I think that I can get many advantages not only knowledge of sharing ideas about cross cultural in academic and social sectors among International Muslim Students but also I can develop and actualize my Islamic conceptions and understanding of The Islamic Higher Education Projects related to Globalization. Actually, it should not any dichotomy between Islamic Studies and General Studies. Both of the studies can balance in a proper proportion to prove that Islamic Studies are the key to improve the human sources’ quality in aqidah, knowledge and other things. It also presents perspectives on recent developments in Islamic Studies and the responses of governments, policy makers and funding bodies; interactions between institutions of higher education and faith-based organisations and communities; and case studies that highlight examples of innovative practice in relation to Islamic Studies in higher education.
I believe when I are chosen to be a delegation to join the program, I can take part and contribute well. I can more improve my awareness as a student about social development in global and regional context. I can comprehend and know the great ways how to realize a high quality in Islamic Higher Education. Especially, to dedicate for the progression of Islamic Higher Education in Indonesia. Because I think that Indonesia more needs people who have highly and loyally dedication. Moreover, in my opinion it is an opportunity to improve Islamic parts to the truth Islamic studies that have run down currently. By joining the program, I can play along and make a close solidarity among Southeast Asia Moeslem Students as a representative to abridge the improvements of the Islamic Higher Education project. Since, Indonesia has the biggest Moeslem population whole the world we must present a better quality.
