Unforgetable Mates

and finally let me write some notes, they could make me so impressed when i was joining this teaching internship program at MAN Kendal. firstly, when i was announced to be here, based on the announcement of purchase and guiding program in my lovely campus, Walisongo State Institute for Islamic Studies Semarang. i extremely chewed up that i was very lucky becoming a Kendalese could practice in this program at my own hometown. it's like a chevalier of fortune, oh not really. the first time, i observed in this school in the second week of August, it really welcomed, i met friendly teachers and students having smiling whenever i greeted them. it's my lucky too when i was in the third day, i didn't think before if i got the chance to teach directly standing in for Bu Fitri as an English teacher, that today she now becomes my mother who guides me and gives any advice in teaching English at MAN Kendal. and you know what? i'm the earliest one who teach there from the team of teaching internship program. i thanked so much my kindly and patient partner Pak Imam, we are from English department, already well-done in managing the class in micro teaching course. we were exchanging words in getting same ideas in enhancing our English teaching becoming more fun, enjoyable, interesting and of course applicable, it's hard a bit to apply in very very attractive classes, and i think you know them, i don't need to mention. and it's not sometimes, but almost everyday, so that i apologize for many mistakes i did, im not a kind of a perfect man, i'm just ordinary. you are going to be my fully patient friends facing me with all weaknesses: Pak Yougua Guayou Af, Bu Yuli Wulandari, Bu Ana Ryezqy Saputry, Bu Puji Setiyani, Bu Desy Lathifatul Hikmah, Bu Mukti Rohmawati, Pak Ananda Wahyu Pratama, Pak Riza Huhu, and Pak Loeqman Andie Yahya. im strongly sorry for being so much often making annoyed and many troubles, especially for Bu Maulidah that until right now i don't catch her account. we are here trying to be a professional educator. i did not really more sometimes misscommunication in considering same lines with you. i just remember and it will be always, you are truely kind partners, you were loyal to accompany me with the most pleased you showed, for Pak Imam, you tooks any picture that you spied on. they were really awesome, and i'm fond of them so much. anyway, all of them on ours are going to be unforgetable memories for me. after completing this program, i know that we are going to concern with our own works. i dunno the ways we judge. i hereby do wish we can get a success today to Jannah, just believe and always believe on it. we will be a nice partner one another. thanks indeed for those things. do you know what should we do for the next? uppss.. we almost forget, next day is the last time for us, our wise mother, do you mind if we let her doesn’t get a hand-craft, then? not really too. you know, i have too often groped my very thin black wallet, so that i just thinking how could the report of this teaching internship finish as soon before next day we hold a farewell with kindly, friendly, nice and cheerful friends we meet to. i will miss them so much, espeacially Ustadzah Fredina Fransiska, you are very patient teacher, you care to notice me whener i felt bored and tired, you warned me with meaningful words that will become touching my heart. and then for Bu Emma Cina Renie, Bu Afrani Maris, Bu NengKopi T-wie, thanks a lot, no problem i can't join in your French class, but at least we have already discussed it when we had lunch gatherly in school canteen, for Pak Moh Setiawan, many thanks for letting your free time taking pictures in my some classes. you are really kin on in Grade X MIA 6, lol. it's normal. i like it. your helps were very helpful and impressed, thanks for helping me. my Physics teachers, Pak Andi Kur Niawan and Pak Anzis Wijarnako, you are friendly people, and i sometimes curious with your habit on spending facing eyes on display of lappy. i think those are your tricks to refresh minds out of the pressures in teaching, and they will be our teacher burn-out. oh no! Pak Octa Nugroho, thanks for everything, even you gave the scanned sign of our headmaster without feedback, i think that you were already sincere with it. i will miss to kid with you later on, Pak. and certainly for Bu Henik Atul, i dunno too, talking to you is a same row, there is no certain reasons to tell. Bu Exa Septyaningsih and Bu Fauziyah Nofiyanti, you are different each other, i can take lesson much making friends with you, you are so dilligent in learning and reviewing materials to deliver in the class before teaching begins. it's amazing. Bu Triana Rahayu, you are very calm and have a beautiful inner beauty in my view. very happy meeting you. Pak Ido Falsfalsfels MahpeOi and Pak Nadi Hoho Gorilaz, learned so many things the ways to thank to ALLAH keeping our health all day long. Pak M Nurur Rouf, you are very very kind and like make many secrets i'd love to know from the good habits on you, memorizing Qur'an and something about Arabic language, you are absolutely qualified. i wanna be you ya Ustadz. other Arabic teachers, Ustadzah Ana Kurniati Atho Ilah, Ustadzah Rokhati Rohadatun'aisy, and Ustadzah Izzatun Nisa, you are very nice people. like fairies in the earth dropping down here. Bu Norisma Rizky and Bu Sarah Rinanty Ferbi thanks so much for everything. this person will be my ideal becoming a wise man, you are Pak Pandu Wicaksono. Bu Latifah, Bu Daning and Bu Sulis, thanks very much for being my nice friends. i realize that so many mistakes i did to you all.

i think that's all my chicken tracks, not long, even i like say that it's not short enough. hopefully we get succeed reaching our dreams to be true. ALLAH is always nears by people who nears by HIM. just keep believing on our hopeful prayers. a success does not go away from hard striving. hopefully we can meet again, my dear friends.

and i won't forget to say the most deepest thank to Miss Lauren Elizabeth. it's very very great talking to you today. many things i got from you as ETA teacher from AMINEF, a program that i dream since long time ago i love English. but it's unfortunate, next day is the last time i'm in the teaching internship, on Thursday, i have to back to my univ continuing my study. and it's really pleasure gathering you at ECC (English Conversation Club) in this afternoon with Pak Sigit Nugroho. thanks for giving a cute American pen, i can use it to go on my hobby in writing. it's extremely useful. thx indeed! i do wish that we can meet again, certainly making friends each other. hopefully we can still keep in touch from time to time. thanks a lot for everything! anyway, thanks a lot for Pak Sigit, you allowed me to join Miss Lauren's club whenever i have a free time just gathering to be here. the song you provided, had been successful to increase students' interesting the club in. it's a great trick, Pak. and thanks for everything, Pak Sigit.

Ladies and gentlemen

Good morning,

Assalamu’alaikum wr. Wb.

May I tell you first of all, how pleased I am standing here in the wonderful occasion in Walisongo Language Festival.

Good morning ladies and gentlemen,

            Over the past two decades, our society has witnessed unprecedented changes on the overwhelming trend of globalization. From many cultures that this awesome country; Indonesia has to be not seemed anymore. You know, in the past about ten years ago, there were many children played traditional games. Such as, hide and seek, Dakonan, Gobak Sodor, Segar Manggar, Jitungan, etc, but nowdays we can not look such those games anymore. They are difficult to find now. In spite of still existing, some of them are played by children who live in the village. It is the opposite of the past, all around in Indonesia, children are familiar and good in playing those games.

            You know, technology has lost such those traditional things. Nowdays, children prefer to play video games, getting games online and too much enjoy in some social networks. It proves that there are many games using technology that usually used by children even without knowing the time. In addition, we can also find many games using technology in many department stores. So, ladies and gentlemen, is it about a timid thing? Are traditional things not cool anymore? Or will we always be a follower country?

Not really. consider that we must be able to handle this current situation wisely.

            The introduction of Western ideology is having an increasing impact on the traditional Indonesia values. From my point of view, globalization is both a challenge and an opportunity. Many traditional virtues are being challenged. As I emphesized in the beginning of my speech, children are more discovered to prefer many games using technology and youngsters are fond of devoting time and energy to Valentine’s day, from the family centered cultures to the more independent living styles. They are not really Indonesian virtues, are they?

            For instance, we are different family ties, different attitude toward love and marriage, and different educational conceptions between Indonesia and other countries.

Ladies and gentlemen,

            Now, we are living in a so-called “globalized era” and along with this era, we are faced by the significantly progression of technology. It will ease foreign cultures to come and influence our national identity. In this case, culture becomes the one of national identity. Every country in this era must be able to defend their own culture heritage including Indonesia. I’m going to direct you on the real experience of Globalized era. Just demanding a good standardized education curriculum, in curriculum of education in 2013 that the subject of Javanese language and other traditional language is omitted. Whereas, a Javanese Culture Observer and an activist of Javanology Sebelas Maret University (UNS), Arif Hartata said “Javanese language is very rich if it is searched there are stages of ancient Javanese language, the middle of Javanese language, to the contemporary Javanese language. There are Kromo Inggil, Ngoko, it showed that there are some ways to speak politely in Javanese language in the term of decency.

            If Javanese language is omitted in the curriculum of 2013, students will lose their identity as Javanese. Now, in formal education, there are many students who can not write or implement Javanese script.  moreover, they are disable how to sing Javanese song anymore, like Campursari and Mocopat. Here, let me sing a Javanese song, Mocopat Gambuh. It will remind us when we were taught by our own Javanese teacher. This song extremely can build our passion and soul as Javanese to be stronger.

Ora liwat tuturku

Marang siro kan sregep sinau

Tak kandani rungokno kang pakerti

Sokor bage kowe manut

Yen atimu kroso cocok

Ladies and gentlemen, the song tells us about parents encourage their child to study hard,  the child will succed if he or she obey the parents. As a Javanese, we could get the truly success as Javanese if we could preserve our culture so that we do not  need to look out side of Indonesia to be a great country. We just need to hold tightly our culture heritage.

Ladies and gentlemen, cultural preservation is a joint obligation both of the community and the government.  Building a character to love culture from early age by introducing the traditional language and culture in formal education is the best solution. In the school, students are also enable to wear Batik in certain days. They will be given a chance to develop traditional arts such as traditional dances in the more modern style. Of course, students will be prefer and more enjoy it.

Finally, ladies and gentlemen,

May I remind you some of the main points, I have emphesized that globalization is not only a challenge but also an opportunity. It is an opportunity to make improvements on our culture heritage, it is an opportunity to play along with progressed countries and it is an opportunity to present the whole world the merits of our cultures. So all about traditional things in this beautiful country will be exist from time to time.

Apabila jemari tak mampu berjabat, dikala batin kotor ini rindu akan keikhlasan maaf. Melebur khilaf tentu tak semudah mengeringkan air dari wajah yang basah. Namun, membuka hati untuk ikhlas memaafkan dan meminta maaf akan meringankan setiap derap langkah kita dalam beribadah. Jika hati sejernih air, jangan biarkan ia keruh. Jika hati seputih awan, jangan biarkan ia mendung. Jika hati seindah bulan, hiasi ia dengan iman. Kunci seseorang professional dimata Allah adalah keikhlasan, landasilah setiap derap langkah kita sekalian ini dengan niat ikhlas karena Allah semata. Mudah-mudahan dapat menguatkan keimanan dan membuahkan amalan sholih. Lakukanlah segala pekerjaan dengan maksimal, sebab mengerjakan sesuatu setengah-setengah menunjukkan keragu-raguan, dan ragu-ragu adalah sifat orang munafik. Tanda orang sukses itu adalah ketika ia diberi sesuatu (baik berupa kesempitan ataupun kelapangan) selalu membuatnya semakin dekat dengan Allah.
